Giovanni Frattini holds a degree in Physics and Cybernetics with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence. He is Technical Manager at Engineering Ingegneria Informatica S.p.A., where he leads large-scale innovation projects in cloud, AI, and digital ecosystems.

He is among the coordinators of Workstream 4 – Advanced Applications within the IPCEI-CIS (Important Project of Common European Interest on Next Generation Cloud Infrastructure and Services), contributing to the development of a European federated cloud continuum and AI-enabled service marketplaces.

With a background spanning mobile networks, enterprise IT architectures, and service delivery platforms, he combines technological expertise with strategic vision. Over his career, he has worked internationally, managing projects that integrate business processes, advanced architectures, and intelligent orchestration solutions.

He has also contributed to the definition of the European research and innovation agenda in the domains of cloud computing, AI, and digital sovereignty.
